Warrior/Mesmer build assistance required
Good day to all...
I am currently building a Warrior/ Mesmer character but at this moment in time, unsure about which mesmer attribute i should invest.
I'm currently level 8 and have so far pumped all of my attribute points into strength and axe mastery. At this moment in time i'm swaying towards illusion magic for it's cool funky ability to drain life.
Due to the lack of energy and recharge rate of a warrior, the mesmer aspect will be limited so thinking that i will allocate just a couple of spell slots to this profession.
Though reletively new to this forum; this is my third character though my other 2 are primary spell casters so i'm no stranger to the game...
Does anyone have an opinion as to what i should do next? what mesmer skills work well with axe skills at melee range?
Thankyou for your input

I kinda have an idea -unproven, untested, simply a curiosity and probably nothing that would actually work well- for my own axe-based W/Me. Basically, I'm going to load him up with as many condition-inflicting skills as possible, then once I've dropped them all on one enemy use Epidemic to spread them around, and then "Victory is Mine!" to restore health and energy from it. Rinse, repeat. Of course that character is only just at Lion's Arch, so he's got a ways to go before I can really test out those plans- right now he's just a nice big heavy-hitting tank, works especially well at taking on large tight-packed mobs(cyclone axe, yay).

Epidemic has a really terrible aoe.
Warrior/mes can be very effective at energy denial, fear me and signet of weariness or inspiration drains can quickly deplete an ememies energy pool. I'm not sure how effective energy denial is in pve though, I've always tried to avoid it in favor of more immediate attacks.
You could also go the domination warrior route, blackout's GREAT on warriors, since they don't rely as much on skills for damage. It also requires melee range.
btw, warriors have many ways of quickly restoring their own energy, so you can easily pick up an energy intensive attribute like illusion or domination and use it almost as well as a mesmer if you're tanking (most warrior energy restoration relies on being attacked).

Blackout would be a GREAT caster-shutdown skill for PvP, probably handy at times in PvE too, mostly for taking out monk bosses faster when skill cap farming.

Thanks all for the input... likin the combination of spell suggestions... and blackout does seem good, i'm level 12 now and still no attribute points into any mesmer ability, being a tank does make a change from casting spells!

err... how does a warrior gain energy by being attacked? not doubting it... just don't know what skill allows for energy recharge.
